Cost: Donations can be made here. Suggested donation amount is $25.

Day Pass at the park is $10 unless you paid for a State Park Pass during your vehicle registration. It will be listed on your registration form.

Time + Itinerary: We’ll meet at the Lazy V parking lot around 9:00am to begin our hike. We’ll take as many breaks as needed. Once we arrive at Elk Falls Pond we’ll get ready for our hour-long yoga flow (if you practice with me it won’t be the typical class, or maybe it will 😉 ). From there, it’ll be a choose your own adventure type experience. You can explore Elk Falls which is about a mile from where we’ll have class or add another 5 miles to your trek to take in some stellar views at Staunton Rocks Outlook (a great spot to meditate). Or, you can explore countless other trails and make a day of it.

Trail Details: Scout Line to Marmot Pass to Elk Falls Pond – 3.5 miles one way.

Why Walk With Me

After experiencing the loss of my son, Jude, I know the pain and agony that follows. When that happened, there weren’t any organizations around that could help with this type of loss. Most organizations were focused on a loved one that had lived a long life. I struggled to find the support. Thankfully, we had the love of family and friends to help us. Knowing this pain and how hard it can be I want to raise awareness to what Walk With Me is doing and to help provide funding for their programs. Tools that I used to help heal, and continue to use are getting outdoors and yoga. So, why not combine the two into an experience benefiting a wonderful cause.

What to Bring!
The weather in the Fall is unpredictable so bring layers!

Here are some items to consider:

  • Water
  • Food
  • Hat
  • Gloves
  • Hiking Poles
  • Sunblock
  • Midweight layer
  • Heavy layer
  • Rain Jacket

Unless you want to carry the extra weight, you do not need to bring a yoga mat. We will be on the ground/dirt so if you have something else that is lighter, like one of the towels for a hot yoga class you could bring that.
